POPS Resale

I've just recently started getting back into vinyl and was told a visit to Pop's was necessary. I walked in the door and after a quick assessment though, this is quaint. And as usual started immediately looking for cool stuff in what I thought was a very small, quaint store. I found stickers, patches, and magnets first and enjoyed the music and vibe. I wondered over to the right side where they have new and re-releases at very comparable prices. Then I saw the entrance to the second half of the store, or next 3/4ths of the store. This is where the fun started. In this part of the store was thousands of records, clothing including vintage band shirts, record players, and even a vintage Pac-Man arcade game. I found several original records by great artists and flipped through tons that brought back forgotten memories. So, as I was told when I mentioned to some friends that I was going to start listening to vinyl, I will now tell you, make Pop's a regular visit on your weekly or bi-weekly schedule!

Love this place! They have everything you need from the 40s-2000s decades. Vinyls, VHS, clothes. Highly recommend if you're into vintage!

I recently moved to Lexington for school and visited Pop’s Resale for a school project, and it’s one of the coolest vintage stores I've ever been to. I was instantly impressed by everything Pop’s has to offer. The design is so groovy and fun, and overall, a unique place to visit. I love everything about Pop’s, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the vast selection of records. They have a ton of old and new albums, and they even offer a vinyl listening station where you can listen to the records through headphones. Their assortment of vintage clothing is so fun, and they have many options and sizes to choose from. I’ve always loved vintage clothing and vinyl records, but this was the first place I’ve been that combines both. The walls are covered with posters and pictures of different bands and musical artists, and lots of Beatles décor, which I personally loved! The workers were very friendly and created a comfortable and welcoming environment. As soon as I walked in, I heard Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee” playing, and it just fit the aesthetic perfectly. The store itself is very well organized and reasonably priced. Pop’s is easily one of the most unique spots in Lexington, and if I could recommend a vintage shop to anyone, Pop’s would be the place!

POP’s is one of my FAVORITE vintage shops in Lexington; it’s a must-visit for anyone seeking records, fun stickers/jewelry/pins, or rad vintage clothing. (I honestly think I shop here once a week?? 😊 No regrets!) The staff members are always extremely helpful—to regulars and newcomers alike—especially if you have questions about certain albums or a sound system, or if you just want to rejoice aloud about a cool/weird/amazing clothing find. Seriously, the crew at POP’s is so freaking kind!!! One of my favorite things about this store is that there’s an easy process for selling one's vintage clothing/records. (Basically, call ahead to confirm someone will definitely be on site to process sales? They’re quick and efficient, in my experience—I’ve sold clothing here several times!) Other favorite things about this place: It’s got that “hole in the wall” vibe—the store goes back and back and back! There’s a cherished shop dog, Pickles!!! It’s a great place to buy unique/novelty gifts or costume pieces. The shop hosts events (small shows, album signings, record sale days, etc.) and they also do ticket giveaways throughout the year! Worth a visit for sure!

The greatest selection of records I've ever encountered. Some places just sell records but this place knows music. Had a great time searching all the record crates and posters. 10/10 will shop here again.
