Offshore Sounds

This is the dream record store for any record head. Unbelievable selection of tastefully curated music that strikes the perfect balance between adventurous and in-the-pocket grooves. The descriptions on the records alone make the entire digging experience so damn fun and the listening station (yes! a listening station!) lets you explore and discover gems all day long. Needless to say, this is my go-to record store and I am rocking my 'offshore sounds' hats on the daily.

One of my favorite record stores that I keep in regular rotation. Dylan and Peter have some deep taste and always have great recommendations if you’re looking for something new (to you!). I’ve found lots of LPs in their shop that have become essential parts of my permanent collection ranging from rare heaters to clean early pressings of some classic grails . Their stock covers all genres and price points, grading is more than fair, and they keep the bins fresh, so don’t skip this spot if you’re in the neighborhood!

I’m consistently surprised by not only their (what I consider) essentials but also their “new to me” hidden gems. All price ranges too which is great. Always great advice from Dylan, the shop owner, who has a knack for guiding me in the right direction depending on my interests at the time.

If you mess with records and are anywhere near Santa Cruz, Offshore Sounds is a mandatory stop. An incredible collection of music from all over the globe that spans genres, eras, and price points. Whether you're just getting started with records or a seasoned digger, you're gonna find amazing stuff. Great team, as well. Friendly, knowledgeable, humble. Best of the best.

Stopped into Offshore Sounds on a short visit to Santa Cruz and bought one of their nice hats. They were doing a raffle for their first anniversary and even though I don’t live in town, the guy running the store gave me a a raffle ticket and said the shop would reach out if I won. $200 store credit for a prize - very generous people. Dig the music too!
