OffBeat

OffBeat is by far the coolest comic shop in the greater Jackson area. As a lifelong collector, the first thing I look for in a comic shop is a subscription service. Phillip made this process so easy! But OffBeat goes leaps and bounds beyond being consistent - they raise the bar. Not only is Phillip incredibly generous to his patrons, but OffBeat is also such a welcoming place to be. Whether you're looking for current comics and vinyl or browsing the pre-loved collections, there is something for you (and something new every time). On top of that, OffBeat does so much to support the community, from hosting record drops and after-hours events to inviting artists and featuring local bakeries (including fresh baked goods while they last). Plus, with good music always on standby, the ambience doesn't get much better.

It’s an amazing store with a lot of records, comics, manga, and graphic novels. There is a large selection of everything under the sun. Definitely would recommend for those looking within those categories. Definitely worth the visit.

Stopped in on my trip and received awesome service. Has a little bit of everything in store from albums, to comics, speakers, posters and other Nic Nacs! Food some rare vinyl and common ones! Everything was priced just right. Easy to find, right downtown!

I've been coming here for years. It's the first Black comic store in Mississippi and one of the last real record stores. Offbeat is a culture shop and one of the true hearts of the city. Art, music, vintage clothing, toys, not to mention the events. Not only do they support local artists but they also are a hub of community involvement, emerging young artists, and small business support in the city. Jackson needs Offbeat and you should stop by and support. Everyone is welcome unless you're an entitled (expletive deleted).

One of the coolest shops I've been to. So much art around the wall. So much just cool stuff. They pretty much have something for everyone. And they have an amazing record selection. Definitely think everyone in jackson should visit this place. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Love this place.
