A lady employee helped me to find info on a specific band I enquired about. There's posters, small gifts you can buy. The used cds are priced fairly. This place serves a wide range of musical tastes. Its a bit small for as much as they have,, but great building for a record store thats been around for decades. I was very pleasantly surprised with the full wall mural on the outside walls as I pulled in to park! Great job on that!
Music Millennium is the kind of place that instantly feels special the moment you walk in. The selection is impressive, with rows of vinyl covering just about every genre you can think of, along with CDs, merch, and music memorabilia that make it easy to spend more time browsing than you planned. Everything is well organized, but there is still that fun feeling of discovery when flipping through the bins. The staff clearly knows their music and is happy to offer recommendations without being pushy. Whether you are looking for a specific album or just exploring, the atmosphere feels welcoming and relaxed. It is also clear that this shop plays an important role in the local music scene, with in-store events and a strong focus on supporting artists. Overall, Music Millennium is a must-visit for music lovers in Portland. Even if you are not buying anything, it is a great place to browse, soak in the culture, and enjoy one of the city’s most iconic independent record stores.
So much to look through here at Music Millennium! This is a must visit for any music fan, record collector or CD collector visiting Portland. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! And they are the originator of the world famous motto, “keep Portland weird!” Stay weird and visit Music Millennium!
Wonderful store. Massive inventory. Used vinyl isn’t as deep as others, but you’ll find something. Staff is truly wonderful here. I was here to see The Roots, and they had a poster advertising the show. I asked if they would sell it to me, and they gave it to me for free. Found some gems. Will be back when I come back to Portland.
The best record shop I've been in, ever. They seriously have an amazing selection and I could probably spend days in this place. Better than any store I've checked out where I'm from in VA!
