A good shop to check out, especially if you're looking for really good copies of old records of your favorite artists. They also have a great selection of indie.

This is by far one of the best curated record stores on the east coast. It is my favorite record store - up there with PRX and any quality record shop you’d find in NYC, Philly, Boston, Toronto… I grew up in the area and every winter holiday make it back to purchase at least a few records. They’re reasonably priced (esp. compared to the vinyl market elsewhere!), carefully selected, cleaned and cared for — I’ve never bought a dud scratched record from this place. More importantly - the musical knowledge base and stories of the owner are mind-blowing for any music aficionado and every recommendation the owner had made for me has been absolutely golden. Definitely stop by anytime you’re in Cville or central VA.

This a great little record shop with a nicely curated selection of records with something for everyone. My son, niece, and I all found something to bring home. Records were priced very fairly. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. Wish I lived closer!

Pretty nice selection of records, but the owner/employee wasn’t super friendly. He came and unlocked the door when we came up and seemed like he wanted us to the leave the entire time, he even recommend that we go leave and visit the cruddy antique store for records. The selection of new vinyl was really great, even though it was a bit overpriced.

A nice vinyl spot that’s out of the way and chill. It’s quite small, but they have a fresh selection of records so it doesn’t get stale. It’s an in-and-out kind of store, so don’t expect to sit down and stay a while. But the owner knows a lot about music, and is always willing to give recommendations based on what you tell him that you like. Lots of great jazz and blues records, as well as contemporary. There’s more of a focus on nostalgic or older records than new pop records. The ambiance is really nice, with light music playing in the background as you peruse their selection. If you’re into treasure-hunting for records, or if you’re a music head like I am, I recommend stopping by. A great addition to C’ville’s downtown.
