Don’t come hungry because you can stay here for HOURS. Books, board + card games, puzzles, action figures, Funko pops, cds, vinyl records, allllll the video games — you name it. Part of the fun is walking around every aisle to see what you will discover.
My wife and I made our first trip out here and we were blown away!! Everyone was super helpful and we found some amazing classic movies for cheap. We were letting all of our friends know and they got excited as well. We play a lot of board games and watch a lot of movies, so we will be coming back multiple times. You guys will not be disappointed.
McKay's has been around for decades. They are a good place to find movies, video games, books, albums, board games, and more! You can bring in items for sale or trade, too! Sometimes trade values can be a bit questionable, but you dont have to accept their offer if you don't want to. Their prices can be a bit inflated at times. Overall a fun place to go to dig for stuff!
Michigan has nothing like this store, as far as I know. You can sell your items instantly here. You can buy gently used electronics, laptops, phones, computer components, TVs, sound systems, musical equipment, books, records and so much more! I could spend the whole day there just picking! The picture of the front of the store shows free book bins!
I have to say, this one hurts. Ive shopped at Mcays for years and it has become a frequent place for my partner and I to spend some down time and look through their inventory. A couple months ago I purchased a gaming controller from them for $90, took it home and discovered that the wireless dongle was missing (pretty important piece) I waiting a few days to take it back but before I could a Family emergency required us to leave for several weeks to take care of them and unfortunately attend a funeral. I get back and take the controller back with a gamecube game and another xbox elite controller. After waiting I get the price back and they offered $39 for all of it. When asked them why, I was informed it was marked down for missing a part. I was very aware of the missing part, they sold it to me with it missing the part! How do you get to $20 (instore) for one controller when months before they felt perfectly fine selling it to me for $90 knowing it had a part missing. Im not mad, Im to blame for not looking up the parts before the initial purchase, however they could have made it make more sense. Im no longer taking my stuff there let alone shopping there again for a long time if ever. I get they have to make money but to beat gamestop at their own BS pricing... it was just so transparent. Blah, what a shame. Do a little better guys.
