Mad Jack's Records & Comics

Mad Jack's has become a staple of mine and it has truly helped to make Matthews an enjoyable place to live for me. Jack is a pillar of the community. The vibe he has created in his store is so cool and peaceful. Whenever I've had a stressful work week, I love to go to Mad Jack's on Saturdays. It's a great place to decompress and it's always an enjoyable experience. Jack's variety of music that he plays in the store is awesome, and the selection of records he has is great.

My favorite record store in Matthews. They always keep a great selection just in the 'New Arrival' section! Rarely leave with less than 8 albums anytime I visit. And cool t-shirts too. And comic books as well. But my focus is on classic rock vinyl and I never leave disappointed.

What can I say...........the people here are exemplary. Every time I've stopped by I have had a most excellent experience regardless of if I purchased anything or not. Always a very welcoming environment and they have alot to look at. Literally something for everyone from comics,toys and collectables to art, music and memorabilia. MAD JACK (the owner) has you covered. Takes some time to visit. ENJOY!!!

Really enjoyed my visit to Mad Jacks. Found lots of records I was looking for reasonably priced and in really good condition. The store is well laid out and the albums were easily accessible and in alphabetical order. I will make another visit next time I’m in the area. Mad Jack seems to be a nice guy and doesn’t come across as mad😀

I inherited 4 boxes of records from my dad… brought them to Mad Jack’s to sell and found THE BEST comics/memorabilia/vinyl/vintage-cool-stuff store in Charlotte (Matthews actually)! You should know, most of my dad’s record collection wasn’t “cool” enough for resale (Jack’s vinyl offering is curated beautifully and meticulously!), but I also ended up selling some old comics, some Marvel & DC reference books, a few Marvel cardboard stand-ups, and a framed movie poster! And while Mad Jack’s will pay you cash for your (good condition) used items, I opted to trade for a rockin’ Guns N’ Roses tank top, a Mad Jack’s trucker hat, and store credit for my kids to come back and shop later. Jack and Dana were welcoming, fun, and very easy to make a deal with! Mad Jack’s in Matthews is definitely worth a visit… buy, sell, trade or just enjoy perusing a fun shop full of interesting finds (they also sell vintage jewelry!) that are sure to bring smiles to the whole family! *Pics are some of the stuff I sold + my awesome new gear from the store :-D
