Great selection, feels just a lil bro-y, but that's sorta the norm with vinyl. they do sell local music, feel like it should be up front tho, as local is kind of a big deal around here, they need a lil reorganizing, shouldn't take too long but it is all very neatly shelved, just some out of place records or could be some silly people stashing things.. Would love to be able to listen to some of the music with headphones in store. Hoping for more posters as well as local show flyers. They do have lots of t shirts in the back, but im more of a button & sticker person, sometimes thematic jewelry, Surprisingly good & varied CD collection there also. I do wonder what sort of partnerships they have with other local spots & if they have people come in and jam or if the back half of lf the store could be used in such a way monthly.

Small independent businesses enhance the character of our historic downtown area, and this one does it in spades. An amiable staff, including an owner with encyclopedic knowledge of music, has created a haven for audiophiles featuring a collegiate-looking sofa and coffee table that conjure up the revelatory days of young adulthood. How long has it been since you've talked to a stranger about your favorite music and been reminded that we're all strangers in name only? Perusing the vinyl selection, it becomes clear that multiple genres and eras are respected here. Lost Padre's collaborations with local and out-of-state musicians underscore their predilection for community building — everyone is meant to feel included. Their events page and online store show how far they're willing to go to keep things rocking along. If you're looking for good energy, don't miss this place.

Cool place great selection friendly staff, if visiting Santa Fe, you're bound to find something. Make sure to check out there local section of both old and new. Stereo receivers were tempting.

Jon was so helpful when I was selecting a new (to me) turntable at Lost Padre. He helped me pick exactly what I needed and didn't try to upsell me. They have a 7 day return policy for vintage gear, which could come in handy. They have a great, broad selection of vinyl, but more importantly, the atmosphere is friendly, approachable, and unpretentious. They are analog AF in their operations, which I appreciate. Help them by bringing cash :) They are a gem for us in Santa Fe. Thank you, Jon!

Exactly what you want from an indie record shop. Lots of stock in every genre but not overwhelming. All the albums they sell are in good condition and have been cleaned. I was able to find some real gems in most of the genres I dig: pre-war blues, international, rhythm & blues, plus a great collection of 10”! They also sell CDs, 78s, 45s, tapes, and even 8-track. The employee was super chill, friendly, and allowed me to browse and listen without pressuring me. Walked out with a healthy stack of great records. A must-stop in Santa Fe!
