Joe's Records is one of my favorite places to visit! The comfortable atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are very fair minded when it comes to returns/trade ins. No doubt that music lovers feel at home here. They have an awesome used record section, too. They're not one of those businesses that wants a tip for doing their job. They are above that and that says a lot. Thanks to everyone at Joes's Records!
Great place, some good deals though they usually have a lot of stuff. It is mostly about variety, staff is pretty cool but the owner rules. Sad that he was spending a lot of time at the store in Springfield. Joe is awesome. Met with him a few times, he knows his stuff and generally just rules.
Favorite record store in st louis. Idk why someone said its overpriced, it really isnt at all. I bought a record player for $100 cheaper than what Vintage Vinyl sells the same model for. Also, he has found me 2 vinyl ive been searching for a while for, and got them ordered for me. They also do punch cards. Buy 12 records, your 13th is free. I enjoy chatting with Joe and the cool kids he hires. I buy one or two records a week from this store and will keep coming back!
This is such a cool shop if you're into metal and rock. The entire store is ringed in band tees spanning from softer stuff like Korn to medium/hard stuff like Cattle Decapitation and Cannibal Corpse. Don't expect anything from the more brutal subgenres (no slam, no deathcore). In addition to the tees, there is a gargantuan selection of vinyl, at least in my opinion. If you collect vinyl or just want to support a local shop, give this place a try.
Joe's Records is a shining star in a slowly dying mall. There's so many band shirts here, you're certain to find one you like. The racks are full of all different genres of music on CD and vinyl, looking through them thoroughly would take hours. It was a pleasant surprise to see some of the more obscure indie artists in the stacks. Also present are plenty of stickers, patches, and posters. Take an afternoon and visit the friendly folks at Joe's.
