Jim is good people and is a Pro at guitar set ups, does actual Luthiery on site and is thorough with it . He hooked me up for hella cheap price, taking a $200 guitar and making it sound like a $2,000 dollar guitar by replacing the 'Mother-of-Toilet seat' plastic components with bone blanks (which I hand carved into a bridge saddle, fretboard nut & string pins)
Gotta love Jim. He's a good guy with some cool stories and great guitar knowledge. He does great set ups on your guitars or even other stringed instruments. He's one of those good dudes in the music scene you would rather give your money to rather than Big box corps. Nothing wrong with that but Jim keeps it real so I pay him a visit now and then.
Very kind, friendly, warm-hearted owner helped me to setup the guitar amp to try.
Awesome man. Always help me out with my setup and stuff I need. Love going into a shop, and talking with him. He's very knowledgeable and always glad to help.
I showed up with money at noon on a Wednesday. The shop was closed. Mom and pops retail stores like this can't understand how they go out of business. Guitar Center is open and ready to do business right now. Jim's is not. I posted a photo of his business hours on his storefront for your convenience.
