Visiting Cary and stopped by this amazing record store hunky dory! Great collection blues, 80s, Dead, alt rawk and classical. Kira is extra knowledgeable in many genres and provides great smile adding to the awesome vinyl only vibe on the marantz. Chk it
Cool place! This small neat shop was pretty busy when I visited and maybe had 8-10 people in on a Sunday afternoon. The person working actually sold me the record that was playing in the store while I was there browsing, introducing me to Les McCann whom I did not know. A small place but packed with vinyl to look through. The Les McCann that I picked up, though used, sounds great. There are loads of records to be had for just a few bucks if you are open to exploring older or less well known artists. I will be back for sure.
This record store is awesome! I’ve gone for RSD this year, last Black Friday and in April as well and everything was organized and they even come out and took drink orders for the line. Haven’t personally had their beers but I think it’s cool they have them. Staff is always nice and helpful. They have a great selection of records and their other locations are great too. 100% recommend!
Small store, big personality. Found some vinyl gems reasonably priced and kn excellent condition. I also love the area they are located in. Was able to get my music, a bite to eat and dessert all within walking distance. Staff were friendly a d helpful. Can definitely see myself stopping by once a week to see what new items have arrived.
Such a cool spot for browsing vinyl and having a beer! Stumbled upon Hunky Dory one evening and was totally enamored by the selection of old and new records, the comfy vintage-aesthetic seating areas, and the cold beers on tap. The friendly bartender/DJ was spinning some great oldies on vinyl. Great after-dinner spot if you're downtown (check out Taipei 101 a couple doors down in the same Chatham Street plaza for excellent Taiwanese/Szechuan!) or just an afternoon browse. I bought one record for now but I'll be back!
