One star for a great selection! Two stars for a great staff member! Three stars for a cool vibe! It is extremely over priced, common records beyond max pricing on discog. The used/vintage section was close to brand new prices. And the bargain bin was anyone from 10 to 30 dollars. I still bought two records just to show my support to a small shop and to say I bought from hot poop. But just be warned on the pricing.
Great local record shop. Music hoarder though. Found something I liked, priced at $50. Told it was priced wrong 11 years ago. Would sell it to me for $200. I found it online new for $130. Ordered it used listed in mint for $43. I would have taken it for $50 but it can sit another 11-years I guess.
This store is great! Based on reviews I was expecting it to be more expensive. It's not as cheap as Ebay or Amazon, but it's on par with other brick and mortars I've visited. I'm a 90s kid and the nostalgia of physically hunting for what you don't know you want is worth the extra expense to me. I went in with grunge on the brain and came out with Pitbull 😭...And grunge. The staff is super friendly and helpful, present but not pushy. If you have teenagers who like music, take them to Hot Poop and let them experience how we had to find the cd/album among thousands and then buy 16 songs even if we only wanted one!
Love Love Love! The selection is amazing and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. They had pretty much every genre you can imagine, as well as some great listening stations to experience the music in store. Perfect for any music lover.
The place to go for music lovers of all kinds. Filled with records, cds, guitars, custom Hot Poop merch and a studio. They still have those little music stations too, where you can listen to new albums or artists. Awesome place with tons of character.
