groovy records

Walked in to the store this evening. Was looking for a specific artist vinyl. Trying to start my record collection. As soon as walked in Jerry greeted me and helped me look over the list and showed me how to find artist and if needed any help just ask. As I was there I noticed he had Audio-Technica Turntables and he had the one I was looking for online which is on back order till March. What good is having records without a player. After great customer service and being treated as a vip customer I walked out of the store with some goodies. Turntable and about 8 vinyls. Even though it was very close to closing I did not feel rushed at all. I appreciated the time and effort Jerry took to teach me about vinyls. I will be back tomorrow for turntable classes (adjusting weights, cleaning, caring for both vinyls and player, etc.) This is a new endeavor for me and glad I found the right spot to get started.

My friend and I were taking a stroll and saw how awesome the front of the store looked so we had to stop in! There was lots of records to choose from, pretty much every genre. Very reasonably priced and the cashier / owner was very informative. As the shop was closing up he still took the time to play a record for us on a turn table so we could see how a real player sounds. They also have a loyalty card which is very cool. Check it out!

Jerry and his staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable! Every time we come to the shop they treat us like family taking the time to recommend records, help us find specific ones we are looking for, or ordering ones for us. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and encourage you to find the joy and love of music!

I've been to this fine shop a couple of times before my last visit. Always greeted warmly by the owner and staff. On my last visit, I bought a new turntable and speakers. The "Audio-Tech" turntable, and "Edifier" speakers are first-rate. Jerry took time to explain all the features and details to us, and his sincere belief in the product showed through. His interest in customer satisfaction is obvious. I had a question after my purchase, and Jerry took time on a busy day to walk me through the questions I had by phone. You don't get that kind of "one-on-one" service in most places, but here you do! Anyone who wants good "old fashioned" service from a place that knows music and tech, "Groovy Records" is it. Plus, his record selection is great-as are the album prices. look forward to my next visit to De Land from my home in Tampa to visit this one of a kind music store. Thanks again, Jerry and staff!

The type of local record shop you hope for. Great and knowledgeable staff. Good place for all levels of interest from just collecting records to wanting to get vintage equipment. Great people here.
