Awesome place for music lovers. They carry vinyl, CD and cassette and have a lot of classic albums.
Big shout out to Faron Meek at FM Music Vintage Sounds. I had a great time shopping and visiting and can't wait to go back. From New to Rare he's definitely got something you'd want and a great place to shop for any occasion. Be back soon. Support your local record stores.
I am so glad I gave my money to a person with a dream to make a full blown business around music and who has a genuine passion for it. This place is a special one and you should try it out in your free time. Very good variety to get lost in.
Found this little gem of a record store near the hotel I was staying at and it was a great place to look through records. I couldn't get all the ones I picked out because he had a lot of good stuff and he was such a really cool owner who engaged with me and we talked and I can't wait to get back to Kansas City and go visit this place again. I'd give it ten stars if I could 🤘🤘if I would have had the money I would of walked out of there with at least 15 to 20 albums.
Don't miss this one! Absolutely charming old school record store unassumingly tucked away in North Kansas City. Located one block south of Armour and Swift on 18th Ave, in a tan stucco flat front across from the Oxbow Apartments. There are a few parallel parking spots out front, and additional parking is available one block west off Clay Street. Small, warm, and chock full of vinyl that has been methodically organized. They have all the classics plus endless deep cuts that will keep you browsing for hours. The owner is friendly and helpful, and is more than happy to help you discover hidden gems you might have missed. Prices range depending on album availability, with new or rare pressings costing around $25, and a lot to choose from for less than $10. There's a small room filled with CDs, and they have a ton of fun novelty items like locally made candles and artwork. The selection is always changing as new items are added. If you like vinyl, you must check out FM.
