Best vinyl shop in Asheville, hands down. Wonderful atmosphere, cool collections and the owner is one of the most genuine, wholesome guys you’ll ever meet. It’s rare you find a business where the owner takes the time to make a genuine connection instead of making it feel like a transaction. Great deals, this place deserves your business.

Great selection. I found a rare record I had been searching for many years. They were willing to make a deal for a fair price. I also scored a couple great used CDs. I have frequented record stores. Since I was a kid in the 70s. I can say Earth River is what I call. A typical classic independent mom and pop record store. There's not as many around as there used to be. So support them. I'll be back sooner or later.

The best record store in town! A wide selection of new and used vinyl plus used CDs, tapes, DVDs for many genres of music. I especially appreciate the 80s new wave section! The owner Morgan is friendly and does fair, transparent trades. And, they have plenty of parking!

Cool place and friendly staff. I wish we had a store like this closer to Alamance County, I just can't find many used CDs around the triangle. granted maybe I haven't researched enough. either way this place is great. worth the drive out :)

Along with Harvest this is one of the 2 best record stores in town. Incredible used selection. The staff knows their inventory and the vinyl world backwards and forwards. Both fortunately and unfortunately they're the furthest record shop from my house in the area. That definitely saves me from spending even more than I already do on records. Definitely worth the visit and the Thai restaurant next door is pretty good too.
