An awesome record store on the main drag in Fairhope. A surprising number of excellent condition classics and some really gems.
Awesome little record shop. I stop every year when passing through. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. I scored a first pressing of the Allman Brothers live at Fillmore. Must stop for music lovers.
Last summer, we took a family vacation to Gulf Shores. While the family hung out at the beach, I opted to take a day to venture out on my own to find some local record shops. After a Google search, I settled on Dr. Music in Fairhope. When I mapped it out, it's only a little over 30 miles away but given how busy Gulf Shores is, it took me a little under an hour to get there. It's totally worth it though. They have new releases and quite a few used records to browse too. I love digging through old 45s so I spent a good deal of time looking through their inventory. I went on a Thursday morning and it wasn't too terribly busy. The lady behind the counter offered up her assistance if I needed anything but otherwise I was left to flip through records quietly on my own. I spent a good hour in there just going through everything. I ended up buying the 2021 Pearl Jam Record Store Day 12” Vinyl of "Alive". It was still sealed and the price was more than reasonable. I kept the bag they put my record in and framed it. I have it hanging in my garage now. Really cool store to check out. Stick around Fairhope for a while too ... it's a nice getaway from the busy tourist areas not far away.
Not surprised this place is rated 4.9! Owner was super cool, takes pride in his craft and helped us pick some albums for our nephew. Really cool speakers that he custom makes as well! Keep up the passion!
The sonic suitcase is one of my favorite things to jam out with. 🤘🎶. Sounds great by it's self and paired with the wet sound bar
