Doomed will be my go to record shop. The owner Eric is a true gentleman and this holiday season a mench for holding a very special record for me. The shop is welcoming and even though they specialize in Metal they have a wide variety of albums. It’s the kinda place you feel comfortable and welcome spending time browsing and chatting music. I’m a fan.
Nothing but support for little specialty shops like this! Was in town from Chicago, and surprised to find out there was a shop specializing in extreme music walking distance from my hotel. They don't have a massive inventory, but I still walked out with something, and I am sure you will too. Vinyl, cds, tapes with a focus on death metal, black metal, and hardcore, etc. They also have a selection of "regular people music" too. Owner was super friendly too.
New location deserves a new review! Down the stairs next to the smoke shop and tattoo shop. Can't miss the big logo awning. May be a small store by size but the selection is far worth it. A metal focused store but includes many genres for everyone. The owner Eric is a gem, you can easily spend hours getting friendly with him and talking about music. And even if you aren't as well versed in metal he will still help you fit in best he can. Also directly across the street from the Warwick Mall, so why not stop by while you're there?
Best record store in New England. Eric the owner is knowledgeable and friendly. All kinds of variety in genres, both new and used. Been buying records, CDs, shirts, pins, patches. Great prices and bonus points for a great Saturday morning staff and tunes. Looking forward to shopping/hanging out here for years to come!
Metal-focused record store in a "hidden" location (just enter the building & say hello to the fine folks at Lucy Juicy as you continue on to the room @ the back). The owner is very cool to talk with and knows everything records, including a tip on where to go to fix my turntable. He says he's working on getting a wider variety of genres in stock, but there's already a solid beginning as evidenced by the 3 albums I snagged. ~Stop on by and have a listen~
