One of the best finds in the West Valley for me! Owner is very personable and the store is nicely lit and very inviting! I stopped by at Brass Armadillo to check out their Record inventory and sadly, it doesn't hold a candle to Deadwax. I will definitely be visiting this store again and again...
It's a small hometown record store with a single proprietor. Very bright, friendly and inviting. Lots of clean used records, and a smaller well-curated selection of new releases. I highly recommend!
What a great record store. Finding lots of vintage collectible albums to add to my collection as well as some new releases. Hard to find and specialty albums like colored vinyl as well. Plenty of lightly used albums, 12 in., 45's, and CDs offered at reasonable prices. I understand they changed their stock daily with new choices. A friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff and good tunes play as you shop for your treasures, I love Deadwax records! Check them out.
Finally a decent vinyl spot in the west valley. I typically find mine at the Brass Armadillo which yes I know isn’t a record store, but hey it works when I don’t want to drive to Phoenix. While running around today supporting a few local businesses I was told about Deadwax by a stranger I was chatting with and had to head over before making my way home. I’m always on the look out for certain items on my list and was lucky enough to pick a few up today. I don’t go by a certain genre, and my collection is very assorted to say the least. I saw a few more I’d like to add, but all in moderation right? HA The location is pretty small, but I’d say it had a good selection. Some items were new, but also used. There were also some posters, tshirts, stickers and pins for purchase as well. I read on a previous review online that service wasn’t great, but I found it to be awesome and even chatted a little. Prices for some items were a bit high, but keep in mind you’re also supporting a local business. I’d rather my money go into that than a big corporation. If you love stuff like this come check them out.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find a record store had opened up 5 minutes from our house and every interaction here has been 5-star. Very friendly staff, easy in-store pickup, and the selection is getting better everyday. I am even rocking their silicone slipmat now. This is my new home store for sure!
