Dead Wax Records

In Old Downtown Carrollton, I found Dead Wax Records with their door open to let in the crisp, late winter air. Once inside, every available space was filled with LPs and compact discs. If you are like me, you love nothing more than to spend hours digging through crates looking for grails to complete your music collection. Well, Dead Wax may have that special album you have been searching for. I was surprised to find an import CD that I thought was unavailable in the U.S. and for a decent price. The shop is tiny, but packed with musical goodness. The focus seems to be on vinyl and I am primarily collecting CDs, hence the 4-stars. The staff is friendly and helpful, so stop in today and experience Dead Wax for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised.

A great little music store. You can find a great selection of vinyl records and CDs. The staff was very helpful and kind. My son found two new vinyl records. I remembered you come in and check out the store.

I love the people here!! I always feel so welcomed and included when I shop. I also love how each employee has their own diverse music tastes. It creates a wonderful diverse group of people and music recommendations! Definitely give this record shop a try!

Excellent selection of both new and used vinyl. New (June of 2022) location of a dependable brand. All genres and eras! Record Store Day participant as well. For the size of the store, you won't find a broader selection. There are not 5 to 50 copies of every LP, but there is a greater variety of titles per artist than stores twice this size.
