Truly one of the MOST AWESOME toy stores EVER, ESPECIALLY if you’re into retro action figures. Over the years, I’ve found toys that were almost impossible to find anywhere else including newly unopened: Master of the universe figures from the 1980s, TMNT figures (the originals from 1988), Robocop figures from the 1980s, Batman figures, and many, many, many more. Also lots of great toys from the 1970s (original star wars movie figures and action figures), and 1990s (Spider-Man and Spawn to name a few). But action figures aren’t their only strong points. They’ve got everything. Old school video games, comics, and other memorabilia fill the store and are sure to fill your geeky heart with joy. What’s even better is they also allow trade ins, so you can trade your old stuff for either cash or other collectables. This place is great for all generations, but it is especially awesome for people who grew up in the 70s, 80s, 90s, or even the 2000s.
This joint is awesome, regardless of the 'Choker' filming location; although I initially came to tour it on my local |-/ pilgrimage. The staff at Big Fun were laid back, jovial, and knowledgeable about every question I asked. I even found a 1982 Jokey Smurf glass that is blem oval in shape. Swish!
Big Fun is a 5 star shop, period. It be may be small, some things may be expensive, but it’s a place where everyone visiting should go and everyone who lives here should have checked out earlier. They have every kind of toy, Star Wars, funko pop, vintage toys up the butt, puzzles, magic, pranks, figurines, my little ponies, cards and everything else. It’s one of those stores that should be considered iconic to Columbus (if it’s not already) like the book loft or Schmidt’s. Every interaction I’ve had with the people who work there has been kind, congenial and unassuming. I was in there to get some small gifts for my girlfriend’s birthday and all the things I got were a hit. I spent ~$50 on a puzzle, two figurines out of the box and a magnet. When I got in the car I noticed a couple extra things in there. It’s a tight squeeze in there, but I don’t mind it because you’re surrounded by big fun. It’s like every adult child’s little happy place in the middle of serious life. Totally worth checking out, maybe even regrettable if you don’t.
Great little vintage toy shop with not only a great selection of toys, but amazing customer service as well. Make sure stop in if you’re in the area. You’ll have a great experience. 😊
So much fun! Big Fun is an amazing vintage store that takes you back to your childhood. Walls and walls of vintage toys, just about every collectible imaginable. Novelty items, trick items and so many awesome toys! My favorite places in the store are the card catalogs of small toys. Incorporating furniture that is rarely in existence with toys that are harder to find opens a nice conversation to our children. It is definitely small to walk through. Hard if there are too many people inside to get around. Ceilings are high, but every inch is crammed with something. If you are claustrophobic, you may have some issues in this store. I enjoyed my first visit seeing what they offered. Credit and debit cards accepted. *Parking can be hard to find. There is a paid parking garage behind about a block down and some on street parking. *wheelchair accessible entrance
