Central Square Records

This place has been much more than a record store to me. It’s been a hub of community and culture since it opened when I was in middle school. The owners and crew are always helpful, friendly and beyond. They have an incredible, eclectic selection of vinyl, new and used. Most of my ~400 record collection has been purchased here. If they don’t have what you’re after, they’ll happily order it, but more often than not, I manage to walk out with an armful of LPs. Their recommendations are always on point. Can’t say enough good things about this fun store or the people that have run it for 20+ years.

Not only is this such a cool records shop in a fun and beautiful location, but the ownership and staff really take this place to the next level. Huge shoutout to them for hosting a Twenty One Pilots BREACH listening party and gracefully managing the large crowd it drew in. We had such a blast at the party and everyone there got an equal chance (raffle) of ordering the limited picture discs. This was especially awesome, as many of the partygoers travelled far distances to attend. Every interaction we've had with Tom and the staff has been nothing short of pleasant & kind, and you can tell everyone is very passionate about this job. I highly recommend stopping by whenever you're in the area! I hear they have exciting events going on all the time.

Amazing experience overall, I visited the shop on International Record Store Day. Unfortunately the title that I came for had already been claimed by another collector. No problem. A helpful CSR member allowed me to get on a list, as the shop has a network of other shops that might possibly have a copy of the limited release. No kidding, one week later and I received a text that they had found my requested title. Hours later, I bought it. They even gave me a discount because the sale was considered to be a 'Special Order. ' As I introduce my seven month old daughter to music and the vinyl format, I am glad that she will hopefully have a local record shop to call her own. Highly recommended!

The coolest store on 30A, by a mile. I always make time to visit this shop and I don’t even have a record player anymore. Firstly their collection is VAST, just don’t expect anything super popular to be in stock because things always fly off the shelves. That being said, they also have the coolest paraphernalia (puzzles, notebooks, pins, guitar straps) I’ve ever seen. Such a fun venue!
