I recently attempted to return builder’s paper at the Home Depot in Beltsville on Baltimore Avenue near IKEA. Unfortunately, my experience with the on-site manager, Elsy, was very disappointing. There was no greeting or attempt at customer service. Instead, I was met with a dismissive attitude. The item had gotten wet but was unopened and not damaged beyond use. When I asked whether I should allow it to dry before returning it, since no alternatives were offered, I was met with a scoff and told it could not go back on the floor. After leaving, I contacted customer service directly and was informed that the item could in fact be returned since it was unopened and not irreparably damaged. However, I was told a note had already been placed on the account citing store policy. As someone who values professionalism and customer service, I believe alternative solutions or clearer explanations should have been offered at the store level. I should not have needed to contact customer service to receive accurate information. This situation could have been handled much better. Based on this experience, I will consider other home improvement stores for future purchases. PS. I came in the next day and was able to return it with another rep.
Ridiculous as usual. Came for storm supplies and they were absolutely of no help. Store information was completely wrong. Customers looking like they were preparing for the apocalypse and 4 staff members slowly putting together snow shovels that appeared to normally be sold in a box with some assembly required.... But the staff must have thought this was a major priority.
My husband and I was walking around the grill section looking for necessary items and I was greeted by such a sweet warm spirited lady her name was Mrs.Kay she made sure we found what we were looking for and even made a few recommendations. She was very attentive, kind and patient. We even chatted for a little bit and had a couple of laughs. I know who to go to whenever I need help at Home Depot. Other times I have gone there no employees would acknowledge me or seem to care to help me out, but Mrs.Kay quickly came up to my husband and I and asked what we were looking for and gladly helped us. This kind woman deserves a good raise lol I had a pleasant experience with her.
I visited this Home Depot on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional! The Home Depot I have been in years, where the customers services was 100 percent on point. Moving forward, this location will be my go to store. Thanks to all of you. Keeping smiling, and keep up the good work! 🧡
I went to this Home Depot, the one at 4700 Cherry Hill Road & Kevin Sashannie Shemar & Daryl all helped me with the purchase of Skelly the 12ft Skeleton! They were very sweet, their communication and teamwork was phenomenal when disassembling the display. It only took 30mins to take down the display and they put them in three shopping carts for me in an orderly manner without any hiccups. Sashannie, Kevin and Daryl made sure that I was very well taken care of and Shemar guided me on the app on where to find the assembly instructions. They rock! Keep up the great work ya’ll! This U.S. Army Veteran is proud of y’all’s dedication & teamwork ethic.
