Very, very cool. I found a Carmen McRae and a Mingus anthology. Both obscure copies and great finds. Lots of character in this shop.
I stopped by today around 4:15 with my daughter to take a look. However, despite their hours stating they were open from 11-8, they were closed. Maybe they had a good reason, but it’s still odd to be closed at 4:15 on a Friday with no explanation or updating Google Maps. I can’t tell you if they have good records, and I will likely not try going again.
I enjoy exploring record shops in various cities. Located in a beautiful downtown setting, this one's tidy entrance looked promising. Unfortunately the high prices and catching it on a night they had noisy kids goofing around running the store didn’t make it a good experience. The young man frequently coughing and sick didn’t make shopping feel like a good idea either. Would like to see this store gameplan on what they can do to crush the market with deals and superior customer experience. There is potential here just may need to button some things up. Hope this feedback helps.
Cool vibes!! The storefront and inside space have great retro, vintage, antique mash-up style. Lots of art of various styles, pin-ball machines, instruments, and band t-shirts. A wide variety of vinyl albums and 45s arranged neatly and labeled well to enable finding what your genre or artist you're looking for. Loved it! Great addition to Rome!
Amazing place with amazing staff. Not only did I pick up some really cool music and Super 8 reels, I had a blast! Lucian (owner) and crew love what they do, and that translates to how they do business. Next time you're in Rome, GA...be sure to pay a visit.
