Bonistalli Musica is a historic record and musical instrument store located in the heart of Empoli. In addition to new and used vinyl and CDs, they also stock amplifiers and musical instruments. The prices of new and reissued vinyl are unfortunately in line with current market prices, but among the used vinyl, you can find some truly excellent deals: I found mine and didn't let it slip away. The store is very tidy and well-kept, and immediately stands out for its abundance of Blues Brothers memorabilia: movie and concert posters, collectibles, and even an original John Belushi autograph. The owner, a huge fan of the band, even showed me a small bottle on display in the store containing soil he collected near Belushi's grave during a trip to the United States. As a true music nerd, I love these things. The owner is truly kind, friendly, and always available for any questions or musical conversations. It's a great place to both find the vinyl you're looking for and to stop and talk music with him and the other enthusiasts who frequent the store. I definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area. And if you're a Blues Brothers fan... you MUST stop by as soon as possible!
Unfortunately, the experience wasn't the best. Having no cash, I could only pay by card, and I was told, "Look, forget it, I'll give them to you for free," in front of another customer. The statement made me feel uncomfortable, as if I couldn't afford the purchase. To avoid that feeling, I ended up buying an extra product that I didn't actually need. An unpleasant situation.
