I’ve bought several records from this store, and it’s easily the best record store in Arkansas by far. The collection is incredible — everything is organized neatly, the shop is clean, and flipping through the bins is always a great experience. The customer service is outstanding. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about vinyl. What really impressed me was the rare selection. I was able to find a Japanese pressing of A Day at the Races by Queen — something that’s usually very hard to come across out in the open — and I got it at an amazing price, especially for a Japanese pressing in such great condition. Whether you’re looking for near-mint newer releases or rare collectibles, you can find both here at very fair prices. If you’re a vinyl lover anywhere in Arkansas, Block Street Records is absolutely worth the trip. This is hands down my favorite and the best record store in the state.
Blockstreet Records is an absolute gem in Fayetteville. It’s not just a record store, it’s a great place to hang out and soak in the local music culture. The selection is solid, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about what they do. What really sets Blockstreet apart is that they’re a locally owned business with strong values. Supporting places like this is what keeps Fayetteville special. Highly recommend stopping in whether you’re crate-digging or just looking for a cool spot to spend some time.
Hands down my favorite record store ever! The staff is great, and they genuinely support and give back to the NWA community. They have something for everyone, and I really appreciate that their prices are fair (usually right on par with Discogs and eBay). They’re also great about ordering new genres and hosting/organizing events like listening parties and Record Store Day!
I love Block Street Records. What a cool local place to have to browse vinyl. I’m a long time shopper here and treasure this store. The staff are beyond awesome; couldn’t ask for better humans. There’s always a great vibe in the store and some great tunes playing to shop to. The selection is great and I always find something; even if I’m looking for one thing specifically, I always come away with something else. If you’re walking around the square come and check it out.
Jam-packed with great stock, this is a must-stop if you’re in Northern Arkansas. The owner was super friendly, the right balance of leaves-you-alone-while-open-to-chatting-and-knows-what’s-in-the-bins. Prices were fair (no bargains but also not overpriced as many smaller stores are these days) and I found some really great albums I’d not seen before, plus was able to get some records I own but in better condition for a very fair price. Leave yourself 60-90 minutes if you like browsing and digging.
