This is an excellent collection of vinyl records in great condition.
Staff was so helpful and awesome. Albums were well organized and the selection was fantastic. Looking for to going back.
Apollo Record is an old school record store specializing in rare records, stereo equipment, and action figures. The owner is a collector and is very knowledgeable about limited edition records and pressings. He also has a number of hard to find receivers and speakers from Marantz and McIntosh. He will happily play a song request or nerd out about music or audio equipment. The side listening room is a work in progress but should be a nice place to chill. While the rare stuff is pricey, there is a mixed bargain section and low priced used CDs and tapes. Overall, cool place to stop in if you’re a collector.
A great store suited for serious vinyl collectors. Super friendly staff run by a longtime record collector and enthusiast. All items are priced at fair market value for grade and release, clearly stored and displayed well (standard archivist/shipping method: sleeve in bag, vinyl out of sleeve behind cover). Go here if you’re looking INCREDIBLE selection, especially for older jazz imprints and rock. Some items, particularly older jazz from 50s-60s, experimental and avant garde releases from the 60s-70s I’ve never seen in the wild in decades of collecting.
So nice to have a record store in Tenafly finally. I stopped by and Anna was as sweet as can be. She showed me around, made me some coffee, and told me her and her husband's story. I wound up buying a 45 of "Cover Me" - Bruce Springsteen in mint condition and a 45 of "The Sweetest Taboo" - Sade in excellent condition. The classic rock selection is a bit overpriced despite a lot of the records being in great shape. Where I think this shop shines is the vast collection of well taken care of jazz records, 45's, and rarities. That and the antiques are absolutely wild and stunning. We need interesting businesses in Tenafly and Apollo is certainly welcome here.
